Are We Prepared?
Toowoomba Escarpment Bushfire Preparation Project
Our Toowoomba Escarpment in SE Queensland remains a bushfire threat to our rural, peri-urban and urban communities
Our project has sought to interview stakeholders dealing with bushfire preparation across Toowoomba’s escarpment.
These interviews will better inform residents and landholders as to their responsibilities and opportunities to address bushfire risk in our community.
Full interview videos are available under the Interviews Video menu tab.

Project Forum Guest Speaker - Lee Johnson

Our community residents can only do so much. Both small and large landholders must meet their responsibility for action
Our project seeks to identify the major bushfire risks to our escarpment community and the action that we must all take NOW to mitigate that risk.
Ready to take action?
Our project will be calling on local residents and ratepayers to join with us to learn what action we can take and what action we can have others take to reduce bushfire risk in our community
